If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter than you probably know that I am madly, obsessively in love with my dog Rocky. We’ve had him for almost 5 years but I still consider him my little puppy.

I took this photos for an upcoming feature on Collegefashionista where Style Gurus take pictures with their pets. I decided to blog these photos since I actually do wear this outfit often. A little on my outfit, I love how this super glam top complements my casual sneakers. Since the blouse is such a statement piece I felt that pairing it with denim would lose its wow factor. Instead I paired it with my favorite polka-dot shorts and I feel like they definitely let the sequence and the gold stand out more! It’s a really fun look that I can wear to school or even to lunch.

My Brother’s Sweater

I have a younger brother who is 18 years old and he is easily my favorite person in the world. We are complete opposites but since we are pretty close in age we have always had a special bond that I am extremely grateful for. This bond is so close that he doesn’t stop me from borrowing his sweaters every now and then. There’s something extra comfy about wearing a boys sweater. This gray one has been my favorite for a while and when my brother grew out of it he finally let me have it. I usually wear it with leggings and  tall boots, but this time I wanted to dress it up a bit. I automatically went for my new favorite necklace from Charming Charlie. It takes any outfit to the next level! I wanted the gray to pop so I paired it with my white pants and cuffed them at the bottom to show off my brown ankle boots. This outfit was perfect for a date night!

Pops of Color

My family and I go to Vegas at least once a year. We especially try to go during the holidays because in true Vegas style they go all out with decorations. It definitely gets us excited for all the holiday festivities. Since the weather is much colder during this time of year, I decided to wear this stripe sweater dress I scored at Ross. The gray and black color block allow me to have fun with color through accessories. I kept the bottom half neutral with gray tights and black boots. However on top I went for a pop of bold purple and then a subtle pink necklace. Sometimes it’s nice to just let a few accessories do the talking.
