When I first decided I wanted to start a blog it took me a while to figure what I wanted to name it. After what seemed like months of debating I came up with adry on the daily. I picked this name because I wanted my blog to be a representation of my daily life. It’s hard to wear your every day clothes when other bloggers are wearing glammed up looks. But this blog is meant to inspire fashionable looks even when you are running errands or even just hanging out at home. There is no reason you can’t feel your very best even when you are wearing sweat pants.

I have never been much of a sweat pants girl and all the pairs I own have been gifted to me, just like these pink ones that my mom gave me for Christmas. It came with a matching sweater and I fell in love with the set for so many reasons! First off, I am obsessed with the color blush and I adore the subtle gold details. I also really love how they are slim fit and I prefer to wear them scrunched up at the calf. Since it was a bit hot out I paired the pant with an old StyleMint tank and a bralette underneath. I have to say that I am entirely obsessed with this bralette. Not only does it have gold polka dots (score!) but it’s really comfortable and it provides a nice break from wearing a regular bra.

For a casual look like this, I just put my hair up in a high pony and curled the ends a little to add volume. For my makeup, all I did was put on my favorite BB cream, blush, mascara and lip gloss. I also chose to wear my tote purse which is ideal when running errands.

How to make a sequins skirt casual

editDSC_0765c DSC_0772c DSC_0775cDSC_0795c DSC_0796c DSC_0809c DSC_0810c DSC_0811cDSC_0817cChambray and T-shirt: Target, Skirt: Laura’s Boutique, Shoes: Converse

I started doing some spring cleaning this week. I happily started to put my winter clothes away and started to bring back my spring/summer clothes. I then came across this sequins skirt which I bought for New Years Eve. I absolutely love this skirt and I really did not want to put it away till next year. So…. I decided to pair it with a simple white Tee and my trusty chambray to dress it down a bit. To take the casual factor up a notch I also wore my Converse. I was more than pleased with the results! Later in the day I put my hair in a top knot and I actually liked the outfit even more.

So don’t shy away from putting away those sequins skirts you wore over the holidays. Show me how you style your sequence for an everyday look and #adryonthedaily.

Puppy Love

If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter than you probably know that I am madly, obsessively in love with my dog Rocky. We’ve had him for almost 5 years but I still consider him my little puppy.

I took this photos for an upcoming feature on Collegefashionista where Style Gurus take pictures with their pets. I decided to blog these photos since I actually do wear this outfit often. These pictures will appear in a photo album on Collegefashionista soon, which I will link back to this post and on my Facebook page when it goes live.

A little on my outfit, I love how this super glam top complements my casual sneakers. Since the blouse is such a statement piece I felt that pairing it with denim would lose its wow factor. Instead I paired it with my favorite polka-dot shorts and I feel like they definitely let the sequence and the gold stand out more! It’s a really fun look that I can wear to school or even to lunch.
