My go-to outfit combination is a pair of loose shorts and a chambray shirt. I got these amazing chevron shorts a year ago at a Charlotte Russe sale and they were only $10! I bought another pair which I wore in this post. My chambray shirt is probably the most worn item in my closet as you have seen me wear it on the blog many times. Even though it is summer I chose to wear my ankle boots for a bit of height since the shorts are pretty short. I think it adds a bit of edge to the outfit as well. I pulled my hair up into a messy top-knot to accentuate my collar. I hardly ever wear my hair up but I really liked my new method for top-knots.
What are your go-to outfit combos? I would love to try!
I am finally a senior!! I can’t believe that in just nine short months I will be a college graduate. I’ve definitely been soaking up each day in order to truly embrace my last year as a student.
My style has definitely been evolving over time, each outfit seems to be a little more sophisticated, but also a bit daring. I am less opposed to taking fashion risks and I find it thrilling when I come up with an outfit that I would have never worn before. For example I paired this soft, chambray shirt dress with edgy, black boots. I think the contrast from the boots and the dress is unexpected but pleasing to the eye. I kept my accessories dark with a black purse and black and gold necklace. The necklace adds a touch of glam that stands out against the denim. I can’t wait to pair this dress with socks and boots for colder days in fall!

Hi Everyone! Today I wanted to show you how I transitioned my little black summer dress from this post and made it appropriate for fall. By adding a chunky knit cardigan and some booties with socks scrunched at the top you can make any summer dress last into the coming season. I kept the colors neutral in this outfit, but I can’t wait to add colored tights and a textured stripe sweater over this dress for the winter. If you don’t have a black dress that is light weight and preferably spaghetti strap then I highly recommend purchasing one! Trust me, there a tons of ways you can style it and it will be in your closet all year round. I am all about versatile pieces here people!
